About ARA-290

ARA-290 (cibinetide) is an 11-amino acid peptide derived from erythropoietin (EPO) that activates the innate repair receptor without stimulating red blood cell production. It has tissue-protective and anti-inflammatory effects. Studied for diabetic neuropathy and sarcoidosis.

Research Notes

Phase 2 trials show benefits for diabetic peripheral neuropathy and sarcoidosis. Separates EPO tissue-protective effects from red blood cell effects.
