About Angiotensin II

Angiotensin II (Giapreza) is a synthetic version of the naturally occurring vasoactive peptide. It is a potent vasoconstrictor used to increase blood pressure in adults with distributive shock who remain hypotensive despite fluid and vasopressor therapy.

Research Notes

FDA-approved in 2017 for distributive shock. Reserved for refractory hypotension when other vasopressors insufficient. ICU use only with close monitoring.
